Two weeks has passed since I came to UK. The weather in UK is quite changeable as what I imagined. Currently, I am dealing with my first written project for marketing. After the written project, I have to prepare for the 10 minutes presentation based on the project.
Today I would like to point out the facilities of the university. This enormouse university contain considerable number of facilities, for instance, 3 banks, 6 libraries, a hospital including dental clinic etc.
However, what is most surprising of all is that the university is so gigantic that bus circulate every half an hour in the main campus. If you attempt to walk from corner to corner, it takes about more than an hour to reach another side of the corner. When I visited Hokkaido, Chuo, Waseda University, one of the largest universities in Japan, I envy the students because their circumstances are desireble. However, the circumstances as well as size in UK are nothing comparable to those of Japanese Universities.
Moreover, what made me surprise was that there is a big pond in the main campus. There you can enjoy boat rowing.
Besides, with regard to business school's facilities, there are about 100 computers for approx. 200 students (MBA and MA, etc), every seminar room has a big screen to prepare for the power point presentation.
The commodity price is cheap compare to that of London. I suppose commodity price in Nottingham is about the same as that of Japan. I would say transportation fees, barber shop, movie, beer are considered to be cheaper than Japan.
Next time, I would like to inform you my school life as well as my colleagues. |
