MBAランキングについては、近年特にそれらが本当に基準になりえるのかという議論が取りざたされています。
ランキングの基準項目はあまりにも様々で、すべての基準項目完全にカバーして、かつ、評価する方の私情を含まず、完全なサンプルをとるということは不可能だからです。したがって、ランキングが高いからといってそのスクールが自分に適しているということはできません。実際にそのランキングリストから自ら名前を出さない大学なども出てきていますので、まず、自分は何を求めているのかを明確にした上でコースの選択をすることが大切です。

ヨーロッパでは様々な国々が隣接しており、それぞれが違う文化や教育システムの歴史を持っていることなどから、欧州という一まとめでランキン付けをする事は、誤解を招くことにもなりかねます。実際、評価基準が違うとランキングも大きく変わってしまう事もよくおこります。(2002年10月　Business Week誌, Econimist Intelligent誌によるそれぞれのランキング参照)

	通貨の複雑性
	就職に関する価値観の違い、
	少人数制により各校年に数十人の卒業生しか創出しないことによるデータへの影響、
	GMATを重視しない、または、申請時に必要としないスクールも多いこと、

などにより、ランキングは大きく影響されています。

全般的に見ますと、欧州のMBAは100人以下のクラスサイズが一般的で、そのような中でのサンプルは、一人の生徒の評価がランキングを左右するほどの影響力をもつ事も多いため、毎回大きな変動がみられます。
